Nick Sanders is a British motorcyclist best-known for his long-distance riding achievements. He has circumnavigated the globe on his motorcycle 7 times, and gone up and down the Americas 7 times, earning him the badge of the most experienced solo motorcycle adventurer in the world. He currently holds the record for riding around the world in 19 days, and also the record for a double transit of the Americas – from Alaska to Ushuaia and back – in 46 days.
But motorcycles aren’t the only vehicles that move him. He also held the record for bicycling around the world, which incidentally he did twice, the second time in 79 days. Nick has also cycled to the source of the Nile, across the Sahara desert to Timbuktu and along the length of South America before taking two narrow boats across the English Channel and along the Danube to the Black Sea and back.
Nick Sanders is also a published author, having written bestselling books like Anatomy of an Adventurer, Loneliness of the Long Distance Biker, Parallel Coast and the latest, his autobiography, The Extraordinary Life of an Ordinary Man.
